Perhaps inspired by Daft Punk’s score for TRON: Legacy last year, The Chemical Brothers are the latest dance duo to diversify, making their first foray into the world of cinema with the soundtrack to Joe ‘Atonement’ Wright’s most recent directorial effort. And with Hanna, Tom and Ed have made the transition from the dance floor to the silver screen with seemingly effortless ease, channeling their energetic electronica into a series of perfectly-judged, fittingly-widescreen soundscapes. Hell, the delicate sparkle of ‘Hanna’s Theme’ and the dramatic, techno-inflected pulse of ‘Escape 700’ probably even rank up there as a couple of the lads’ finest efforts to date.
