About Busted

U.K. boy band Busted formed in late 2001 and spent their first few months building up a fan base by playing pop-punk-driven sets at amusement parks and schools. The reward for the hard work came when their debut single, "What I Go To School For," debuted at number three on the singles chart in September 2002. Their sugar-coated take on punk became a source of increasing tension amongst the band's members. The trio called it a day in January 2005, allowing Charlie Simpson to concentrate on his slightly tougher-sounding project, Fightstar.
