About Julian Cope
Julian Cope launched his idiosyncratic solo career shortly after the demise of his band, the Teardrop Explodes, in 1982. With a sound that encompasses everything from three-minute pop to lengthy ambient pieces inspired by paganism to heady acid-rock, Cope's career has been as varied as his own mercurial persona. A Renaissance man for the post-modern era, the enigmatic Cope runs his own Internet-based Head Heritage label and is an avid writer, penning tomes on everything from the prehistoric landmarks of Europe to the history of Krautrock to himself.
