Description

Sixth album, and first since they originally split up in 2000 following the release of 'Machina: The Machines Of God', from arguably one of the most important bands of the modern alternative rock era. Despite the lack of founder members James Iha and D'arcy Wretzky in the reformed line-up, chief songwriter Billy Corgan has overcome public cynicism and apathy to blast back with this aggressive, amped-up diatribe against everything that is shallow and wrong in today's culture. Includes the single 'Tarantula'.

- 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "[T]his is a loud, almost triumphant statement that finds the Pumpkins' founder rediscovering his strengths..."

Entertainment Weekly (p.67)
- "This resumption of a brand name and sensibility brings the thunder; if you're nostalgic for the 90's, it's like curling up with a warm Marshall stack." -- Grade: B
