7digital What we said: London trio Daughter return with their score for video game Before The Storm, and while there’s a sense of consistency with their earlier work when it comes to the slow, charming sound, tracks like ‘Dreams of William’ are cut with thunder-like guitars, while ‘Flaws’ crashes with the theatricality of a turbulent sea. Overall, while there remains a gentle ebb and flow to the record with its sweet guitars and cinematic strings, this feels more epic than anything they’ve attempted before: indeed, this is a slow-burning soundtrack that wouldn’t feel totally out of place in Broken Social Scene’s back catalogue.
