7digital What we said: Debut single ‘Pass Out’ was a pretty apt mission statement for South London rap wunderkind, Tinie Tempah. Melding hip-hop, electro, drum n bass and dub, he proved himself a musical magpie, delighting in taking shiny genres and making them grimy. And name-checking Jean Claude (Van Damme, of course) and Scunthorpe amidst the inevitable lyrical bravado, he showed his flow was more Dizzee than Dre, with his tongue firmly in cheek. So from Disc-Overy expect a host of collaborators, a plethora of musical styles and four chart-smashing singles to boot. A fair bit to discover then.
