    Space Dimension Controller

Hailing from Belfast, it's refreshing to see local artist Jack "Space Dimension Controller" Hamill billed at the top of the line-up, alongside techno stalwarts such as one quarter of Detroit supergroup "Bellville Four", Derrick May. The producer was just 19-years-old when he first turned heads with his own cosmic take on house music. The release of his debut album, Welcome To Mikrosector-50 on R & S Records signalled the imprint's departure from the thumping electro of signings Jaydee and Joey Beltram, towards a new electronic niche defined by himself as well as his contemporaries, James Blake and Pariah. Following his show-stopping set at Bloc. festival earlier this year, his climactic Sunday slot is not to be missed.

    Objekt

First appearing on the radar in 2011 through a collaborative EP with SBTRKT, Objekt has grown from strength to strength, into one of the most highly respected forces in contemporary bass music. Whilst his early Hessle Audio 12", the dancefloor weapon 'Cactus', epitomised the then-prevailing "post-dubstep" mode, today his production style resonates strongly with the influence of Detroit electro, most explicitly on 2014 debut, Flatland. With his infamous set at 2014's Freerotation festival said to have brought listeners to tears, be prepared for an immaculately executed journey through electro and techno. Objekt will play the Saturday of the festival, alongside Clark, Derrick May and Francesco Tristano.

    Clark

Heading up Saturday's St Columbs Hall venue is IDM-aficionado Clark. The Warp-signing has triumphed over the years with his fiercely crafted productions, exploring the dark side of electronic music through the labyrinthine mechanical wiring of 2009 LP Totems Flare. Like labelmates Squarepusher and Aphex Twin, Clark's inimitable sound is a result of hours spent tweaking away at his own self-built instruments, and the pervading menace of last year's self-titled album demonstrates his ability to weave recognisable traits of techno into his own cinematic obscurities. As the festival approaches its finale, Clark's set will be instrumental in driving the atmosphere towards the dark, brooding techno the crowd have been awaiting.
