7digital What we said: Don’t know if you’ve heard but Take That have kindly welcomed the wayward Robbie Williams back into the fold. Well, they can afford to be magnanimous, being at the triumphant end of a pretty colossal reversal of fortune. A wise decision it was too, as is the new electro-pop direction, courtesy of producer Stuart Price. Amongst the standout tracks on Progress are the robotic stomp of ‘Kidz’, complete with throbbing synths and 80s chimes, and ‘SOS’, which could almost be The Killers, except you know live it’s going to feature elaborate spaceman costumes and choreography that showcases Gary doing the robot, whilst being shot at by lasers. Maybe.
